Our Principle Forms of Therapy
Our principle modes of therapy are based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy - two treatment approaches with a proven track record. They very much focus on what can be changed - these are the things we do today and things we can do in the future. Where appropriate we will also use other treatment modalities including EMDR, Solution Focussed Therapy, Insight based therapies, and relaxation techniques including that based on Variable Frequency Photo-Stimulation technology. Our aim is to select the way of working with you which is the most effective and which most quickly leads to a resolution of your concerns. In the course of your time with Nexus you will receive written material especially designed to address your issues. So you will have clear guidance which allows you to work on your concerns both in therapy time and outside it.
